MODEL: EURO FORMAT, COBALT SMELTER LAB
SPECS:
33HP WIDE
DEPTH: 1.5 inches
Current: TBA
What does this do?
This has a high pass, band pass, low pass analog filter. It also has a precise analog Ring Modulator with a vca mixer on the 'X' input. There is also a Noise Generator, and final VCA on the ouput chain. Toggle switches are used to mix HP/BP/LP modes to create phasing effects, and notches. This core VCF is using a modern v2164 chip. The feature list is off the roof! Yup those are rca line level inputs and stereo outputs. I have no idea why no one thought of this.
Barely starting out?
This would cover the entire filter side of your first synth literally. You can go from this module direct to your DAW computer for recording using the RCA line level jacks. To complete a basic monosynth, all you would need is a vco, midi to cv converter or sequencer, and an envelope generator. An LFO would compliment this basic module list also.
Filter Controls: Cutoff knob, Rez knob (Voice of Q), VCR knob (VC Rez level), Direct DC Mod knob, and FM bi-polar knob.
Mixer for filter: Subharmonic level 1, subharmonic level 2, audio in level, Noise generator level, ring mod level.
Ring Mod Control: 'X' input has a 3 channel mixer followed by a vca. 'Y' input for the ring mod is direct. There are AC/DC toggle switches to offset the signal going to the AD633 multiplexer IC.
Final Ouput VCA: HP/BP/LP is mixed and selected by toggle swtich, then followed by a VCA. There is a bi-polar cv input for the VCA so that you can create fade effects or decaying audio effects. The jack labled 'Main' is synth level audio output, and the rca jacks are line level stereo outputs. both can be used simultaneous.

MODEL: EURO FORMAT DIODE OPERATOR STATION VCF
SPECS:
18HP WIDE
DEPTH: Less than 1.5 inches
Current: +30mA.-30mA
Controls: Cutoff knob, Rez knob, bi-polar fm knob, mixable lp, bp, hp level knobs, Charm knob for wavefoler variation, and a vca with cv level.
Type: 12db LP,BP,HP mixable Analog filter and Diode Wave Folder.
What does this module do?
This is an analog filter based on the Steiner Diode array. You patch a 'sound' module like a VCO or Noise Generator into one of the input jacks. You then use the big knob to filter out frequencies and become a star. There is an on board VCA internally connected to the final output. The vca is turned fully counter clockwise for normal operation. This will allow sound to pass 100%. When you would like to use the module for regular mono synth action you turn the vca knob until the sound is 'closed' or gated. Simply patch an envelope generator to the 'cv' input and turn up the knob. The envelope generator will open the vca. There is also an ouput line level rca jack that you can use to record straight to your daw in mono.
Circuits involved:
(1) Analog Steiner based VCF, (1) v2164 Linear Hi-fi VCA, (1) Diode based 8 stage Wave folder, (1) Synth level to Line level converter.
